This rich and mixed editorial production comprises the Official EXPO Milano 2015 Catalogue and Short Guide plus more specific material such as the Unique itineraries between site and city, Cluster Catalogue and a book richly illustrated with Expo Milano 2015-themed pictures by great photographers. Completing the offer are an activity book for children linked to the Children’s Park, an instant book series and a publication exploring the architectural design of the Pavilions of the Universal Exhibition in Milan.
The editorial plan is designed to respond to different visitor needs (orientation, information, scientific exploration) but also to highlight the originality of the EXPO Milano 2015 theme (Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life), its participatory approach and the visitor experience, offering a chance to build up a mini-encyclopaedia: a digest of the knowhow developed in the build-up to Expo Milano 2015.
Printed versions of the books will be published in Italian, English and French and there will be ebook versions in Russian, Chinese and Spanish.
Electa and 24 Ore Cultura are managing the official Expobookstore placed inside the multi-service area along the decumanus; its design concept was inspired by the main Expo Milano 2015 themes of sustainability and a responsible use of materials.
The official editorial offer is flanked by a rich selection of books by Italian and foreign publishers on art, architecture, photography, design, exhibition catalogues, non-fiction, food, gardens, horticulture, visitor guides, children’s books and magazines.
The bookstore will sell official EXPO Milano 2015 design stationery (exercise and note books, diaries, pencils, rubbers etc) in eco-friendly materials produced for Electa and 24 Ore Cultura by Fabriano. Objects and accessories for the home, children’s games and Expo Milano 2015-branded gadgets, designed and manufactured with a focus on material excellence and creative form complete the offer to the public.
