Our main activities are books – from their creation, with our publishing brands, to their sale, through the most extensive network of bookstores in Italy – and magazines, both on paper as well as digital.
Books: Mondadori Libri S.p.A. is undisputed leader in the Italian book market, with a 26.2% trade market share in 2019. The company includes some of the major Italian publishing houses (Mondadori, Einaudi, Piemme, Rizzoli, Sperling & Kupfer, Electa) and the most popular series. Production covers all market sectors, with two divisions: trade, which includes novels and essays, and educational, which groups all books developed internally, such as school texts, art books and illustrated books.
Retail: Activities involving a direct relationship with consumers are assigned to Mondadori Retail S.p.A., to its network of 575 bookstores (managed directly and through franchising) and to the e-commerce site mondadoristore.it.
Magazines: The Mondadori Group is Italy’s leading magazine publisher in 2019 – with a market share of 28.9% in terms of circulation. We are also Italy’s top
digital publisher, with a unique audience of close to 30 million unique users per month.
