Most of our activities take place within Italy, whether pertaining to book or magazine publishing, bookstore chains, creating websites or providing online services.
Mondadori France has been active in France since 2006. Entrance into the Europe’s largest magazine market in terms of both circulation and publishing sales was an essential step forward in our expansion process into international markets.
Our subsidiary Mondadori International Business S.r.l. co-ordinates the development of our international magazine sector. In addition to a 42% shareholding in Greek publisher Attica Publications, in the past few years we have brought brands onto the international markets that offer the best representation of Italian taste and lifestyle.
These include Grazia, which, since 2004 has successfully built a network of numerous international publications around itself.
Led by Carla Vanni, in 2004 the Grazia International Network brought the Mondadori magazine, launched in Italy in 1938, to the rest of the world: from the UK to France, published by Mondadori France, as well as Russia, China, India, Mexico, Australia, and many more.
This publishing network translates into a total monthly circulation of more than 17 million global readers, with 30 million unique users per month.
Lastly, with the acquisition of Rizzoli Libri in 2016, we now also operate in the illustrated book market on an international scale through Rizzoli International Publications and the Rizzoli Bookstore, both based in New York.
