Mondadori Store is the bookshop chain that offers the best buying experience in terms of price, assortment and service: this is the view of consumers that yesterday awarded Italy’s most widespread chain of bookshops the “Insegna dell’Anno Italia 2014-2015” (Retailer of the year), Italy’s leading award based on the judgement of customers.
Thanks to the preferences expressed by customers, Mondadori Store achieved the highest score among the candidates in the “Bookshop” category in the nine aspects considered most relevant in the customer experience: the price/ quality ratio; pricing levels; special offers and promotions; service; training and courtesy of staff; assortment; atmosphere and innovation.
The Insegna dell’Anno award is an important recognition that will give a new boost to the ongoing efforts of Mondadori Retail to ensure, at its over 600 outlets around the country, a shopping experience in which the customer is always at the centre and where everyone can benefit from the assistance and advice of highly qualified staff, the breadth and range of the offer and an environment that is stimulating and new.
The Award, first introduced in the Netherlands in 2003 and subsequently rolled out with the name “Retailer of the Year” in Belgium, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, Austria and Luxembourg, was created out of the desire of customers to express their opinions about the performance of their favourite retailers. The first “Insegna dell’Anno Italia 2014-2015” was promoted by Q&A Research & Consultancy and SEIC – Studio Orlandini.
