Mondadori Group is among the leading European media companies, first in Italy as publishers of books and magazines (both print and digital) and one of the top companies in France’s magazine sector.

In the trade sector, the published products that traditionally form the core business of Mondadori Libri are works of fiction, non-fiction and books for young adults, available in paper or digital formats. The Mondadori Group operates through a number of publishing trademarks: Mondadori, Giulio Einaudi Editore, Piemme, Sperling & Kupfer (with Frassinelli) in addition to the Rizzoli Libri trademarks (Rizzoli, BUR, Fabbri Editori and Rizzoli Lizard).
In the educational sector, the Group is also present in Italy through Mondadori Education and Rizzoli Libri trademarks, as well as in the art and illustrated books sector, management of museum bookstores and the organization of exhibitions and cultural events with Mondadori Electa and Rizzoli Illustrati.
Thanks to the subsidiary company Mondadori Retail, the Group operates across Italy through its network of 600 stores, including directly managed book shops (Bookstores and Megastores) and other franchises including book shops, Mondadori Point stores, as well as shop-in-shops, the online sales channels (www.mondadoristore.it) and bookclubs.
In the magazines sector, with a circulation market share equal to 31.8% at end 2017, a total audience of more than 18 million readers and more than 16 million unique users per month, the Group is the leading publisher in Italy (both print and digital).
In the magazine sector, over the years Mondadori has consolidated its position through the publication of paper and digital weekly and monthly magazines on sale both at newsstands and by subscription, in addition to creating websites and portals which have broadened the Group’s audience and enhanced the Mondadori brands.
With the acquisition of Banzai Media in June 2016, Mondadori has integrated the audience of websites such as PianetaDonna, Giallo Zafferano, Studenti.it, Mypersonaltrainer, so reaching the leadership in the women, food and health & wellness verticals.
Furthermore through the subsidiary company Press-di Distribuzione Stampa e Multimedia, the Group distributes its own magazines and newspapers produced by third parties throughout Italy.
Thanks to the subsidiary Mondadori International Business, the Group has a global presence managed through joint-venture partnerships, direct management or licensing agreements with international publishers. The most developed brand abroad is Grazia, reaching a total audience of more than 17 million readers and 30 million unique users per month.
The group is also present in France through the subsidiary company Mondadori France (since 2006), whose portfolio of 31 titles includes some of the most successful magazines in the women’s, men’s and television sectors such as Grazia, Closer, Pleine Vie, Science & Vie and Télé Star, as well as Auto Plus, the leading car supplement edited by EMAS in joint venture with the German publisher Axel Springer.
The ordinary shares of Arnoldo Mondadori Editore S.p.A. have been listed in Milan’s stock exchange since 1982 (ISIN: IT 0001469383; trading code: MN).
