In October 2005 Carlo Maria Vismara was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Mondadori Group. He is member of Mondadori's board of directors since April 2006.
Born in Milano in 1957, Carlo Maria Vismara has a degree in economics and business administration from the Bocconi University. His professional life has been characterised by a wide range of experiences in significant positions at leading companies, both in Italy and abroad. These include the Rinascente Group, where he occupied a number of positions in finance and in management, as director of companies in the Group.
He subsequently moved to SISAL S.p.A., where he was general manager. More recently, within the IFIL Group, he was a director and member of the Executive Committee of the Rinascente Group, a director of Worms in Paris and a member of the board of directors of SGS in Geneva.
