Mondadori Pubblicità is the company that manages advertising sales for all titles, internet sites and the national radio network R101 of the Mondadori Group, as well as the titles and web sites of important third-party publishers and the national radio broadcaster Radio Kiss Kiss. Mondadori Pubblicità, whose chairman and managing director is Angelo Sajeva, generated in 2008 revenues of €331 million, confirming the company's position as leader in the magazine market with a market share of 26.9%.
Thanks to a rich and articulated portfolio, that ranges from male lifestyle and family to women's and specialised titles, the company boasts the highest number of leading titles, both in terms of circulation and readership. In fact the titles managed by the company reach 84% of the adult readers of magazines in Italy and 87% of female readers (source: Audipress).
In the context of a market that in the second half of the year was characterized by a range of critical factors, there were also some particularly positive results that should be highlighted. In the consumer magazine area, Grazia consolidated its distinctive positioning recording growth of 2.1% compared with 2007. A number of titles have also been recently re-designed: Tu Style, Cosmopolitan, Casaviva and Flair have been completely re-vamped, both in terms of content and layout, and further interventions are planned for other titles during the second half of 2009.
 
In the Radio area, R101 continues to perform extremely positively (+20.6% compared with 2007) thanks to a dedicated sales network and the continuing rise in listeners (and average daily audience of more than 2,100,000 - source: Audiradio). There were also excellent results for internet sites, which recorded a growth rate of 17.7%.
 
Mondadori Pubblicità is continuing with the process of strengthening its portfolio by expanding its multimedia profile and reinforcing its position in the radio market. In March 2009, the Group's radio station R101 was joined by the national radio network Radio Kiss Kiss, which has a daily average of more than 2,300,000 listeners and is in sixth place in terms of the leading commercial radio stations and is constantly gaining listeners and audience appreciation.
 
Mondadori Pubblicità also manages the advertising sales for the national daily Il Foglio, Famiglia Cristiana and Club 3.
 
In addition to an extensive nationwide sales network, the company has also created a dedicated structure to respond to the new demands of advertising market: Officina Mondadori is responsible for the development of special advertising initiatives and the creation of integrated communication projects, tailor-made to meet the needs of clients.
 
In July 2009 Mondadori Pubblicità signed with Publitalia '80 an agreement for the creation of a joint initiative for online advertising sales. Mediamond, the new sales company, will manage an extensive advertising pool that has been created by the union of two complementary properties including both the internet spaces of the Mondadori Group and RTI, as well as the sites of third-party publishers. Operational from January 2010, Mediamond can count on a strong presence in the information and sport area and in the women's target.
