Mondadori Printing, which brings together all of the Mondadori Group's printing activities, is one of Europe's biggest and most competitive printing companies, with four plants in Italy - Verona, Cles (Trento), Melzo (Milan) and Pomezia (Rome) - and one in Spain, in Toledo. The plants, originally intended for printing Mondadori products, now generate 36.6% of their sales for mainly foreign third-party clients, and offer a complete, high quality service. Mondadori Printing, under its Managing Director Alberto De Matthaeis, has achieved its position as a European leader in the sector as a result of its productive capacity, the versatility of its production lines and the efficiency of its service.
The Group's five printing plants currently run 38 printing presses. Employing the most modern printing techniques and machinery - including rotogravure, roto-offset, sheet offset and letterflex presses - Mondadori Printing is able to satisfy a wide range of printing requirements, from the smallest to the biggest print runs. In 2007 the company produced 68 million monochrome books, 29 million illustrated books, 484 million magazines, 463 million catalogues, 7 million directories and numerous other products.
