2007, the Centenary

The publishing house Mondadori grew over time to become a group actively engaged in all areas of publishing and all phases of the production process, with a continuously evolving range of editorial products that remains loyal to the spirit introduced by its founder, Arnoldo Mondadori who, while still a young man, started his publishing activities in 1907 in a small village in the Lombard countryside.

2007 marked the 100th anniversary of the company, an important marker in the life of a company that has always undertaken the business of publishing with passion, an ability to respond innovatively to changing tastes and new trends.
In its first century, Mondadori was recognised as a place where it was possible to read and grow, be entertained and enriched; a hospitable house where there was space for everyone, welcoming, always open and informal; a house that has hosted a variety of attitudes to culture, without prejudice or discrimination.

To mark the anniversary, during the whole of the Centenary Year, a number of EVENTS and EXHIBITIONS were organised.
