Franco Carlo Papa Born in Milan on 23 May del 1957, Franco Carlo Papa has a degree in business administration from Milan's Bocconi University. A chartered accountant, auditor and financial analysts, he has written a number of books concerning the financial and treasury sectors. Franco Carlo Papa began his professional life in 1982 at Olivetti Venture Capital Group before moving, the following year, to Citicorp C.S.G. Group. In 1986 at Arthur Andersen & Co. Financial Consulting Services, Papa moved in 1989 to KPMG, where he became a partner in 1991 and, subsequently a member of the board of KPMG Worldwide Corporate Finance and Financial Services. From 1995 to 1998 he was at AFV Sim, and, in March 2001 he became president of AIAF, the Italian Association of Financial Analysts. In the same year he was nominated chief executive of Ernst & Young Financial-Business Advisors S.p.A. and in 2003 president of the same company. In 2005 Papa became a member of the control council of the Gruppo Milan, before taking on the role at Ernst & Young Corporate Finance of partner with national responsibility for M&A, IPO and evaluations. He was then appointed chief executive of Ernst & Young S.p.A. and managing partner of the transaction advisory services division. Franco Carlo Papa is currently a non-executive director of Sabaf S.p.A., Gefran S.p.A. and DMT; a member of the board of directors of the Fondazione Milan Onlus and Gecofin S.p.A..; chairman of the board of statutory auditors of Metal Work S.p.A.; a director of Iniziativa Gestione Investimenti SGR; a standing statutory auditor of Servizio Titoli S.p.A.; and a member of the Ned Community, the scientific advisory board of the AIAF Review and the Advisory Board of the Past-Presidents of AIAF; and an operating partner of IGI SGR S.p.A. Private Equity. Since April 2006 Franco Carlo Papa has been a standing statutory auditor of Arnoldo Mondadori Editore S.p.A. |
