Mondadori Electa is the Group company for all activities connected to art and illustrated books, the management of museum concessions and the organisation and management of temporary exhibitions and events.

Illustrated books published under the Mondadori Illustrati brand cover a vast range of topics, from collecting to illustrated history, from good food to music, from sport to wellness. Its photographic reference books on nature and volumes dedicated to hobbies, collecting and art stand out for their excellence.

Dedicated to tourism, Geo Mondadori in the space of a few years has established an important position thanks to an attractive look and an innovative editorial concept. Mondadori’s guidebooks are part of the tourism line of books.

Electa has been operating in the art and history of art sector since 1945 and is now Italy's leading publisher in the sector in terms of the size of its catalogue, the range of its series and the quality of its titles. Electa has held a position of absolute leadership at an international level in architecture, in the production of publishing works under commission from both public and private clients and in the creation of one-off series for sale in combination with magazines or newspapers. In 2008 a new imprint was created under the name of Mondadori Arte. Its mission is to attract a wider range of non-specialist readers to the world of art. Its titles and series expand the existing offer by covering topics such as design, architecture, contemporary art and gardens in addition to the existing coverage of classical art, archaeology and the decorative arts.

Electa also offers services including: organisation of international art exhibitions, management of museum bookshops and, through Mondadori Portfolio, access to a prestigious archive of art and architectural images for private, institutional and corporate clients.

Its development and management of museums and archaeological areas give Electa a position of great importance in the heritage sector. Examples of this activity include Mantua’s Ducal Palace, the Donna Regina museum of contemporary art in Naples, and – in Rome – the archaeological site containing the Foro Romano, Palatine Hill and Colosseum, the Baths of Caracalla, the Appian Way and the National Gallery of Modern Art.
