President and Joint Venture Partner of McDonald's Italia, Mario Resca is also chairman of Italia Zuccheri, chairman of Confimprese, a non-executive director of ENI, of Arfin S.p.A and of Finance Leasing S.p.A., a member of the Advisory Board di British Telecom Italia, Senior advisor of Oaktree Private Equity Fund and president of Casinò Municipale of Campione d'Italia S.p.A.
In 2002 he was made a Cavaliere del Lavoro.

During his career Mario Resca has also been the extraordinary commissioner of the Ciro-Del Monte Group; president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy; a member of the Aspen Institute in Italy; and non executive director of Lancôme-L'Oréal, Versace S.p.A, Rizzoli RCS, UPA; and chairman of Kenwood Electronics S.p.A.

Born in Ferrara on 21 December 1945, Mario Resca began his career as a business journalist at Espansione (Mondadori-McGraw Hill), in 1968, a year before graduating in economics and business administration at Milan's Bocconi University. After graduating he moved to the Chase Manhattan Bank which was opening its first branch in Italy. He worked at the company's offices in London and New York and in 1972 was appointed head of the overdrafts office in Rome. The following year he was appointed Second Vice President. In 1976 he became a partner at Egon Zehnder (world leader in executive recruitment) where he remained for 15 years, first taking over responsibility for the Italian office and then also of worldwide mergers and acquisitions.
In 1995 he was appointed president and chief executive of McDonald's Italia with the task of re-launching and developing the brand in Italy.
